Have you ever wondered what business is really about? This week, I’d like to share a simple, powerful perspective that turns every transaction into an opportunity to create—and celebrate—something remarkable.
🎨 From Charger Cord to Art
This morning, my stepdaughter handed me a plain cell-phone charging cord—then revealed how she’d woven bright threads around it, turning a mundane cable into a mini work of art.
That moment crystalized it for me: business is the art of taking the ordinary and making it beautiful, useful, and unforgettable.
When you craft an idea in your mind—and then inspire someone else to embrace it—you’ve done more than sell. You’ve enriched a life, solved a problem, opened a door.
💡 Ideas Over Price
All too often, sales conversations stall at “How much?” And suddenly both sides feel boxed in by cost comparisons and “lowest price wins” games.
But here’s the secret:
Low-ticket transactions might hinge on price alone.
High-value solutions thrive on story, uniqueness, and real ROI.
Ask yourself—and your clients—what success looks like. Then pivot from “What’s the cost?” to “How can I help you achieve that?”
🚀 Your Three-Step Value-First Framework
Discover Their “Why.”
“What doges success look like for you and your team?”(Metric in MEDDICC)
“How will you measure it?”
Uncover the Roadblocks.
“As you pursue that success, what obstacles are standing in your way?” (I = Identify pain)
Share Your Best Ideas.
“If I had one—or two—actionable strategies to tackle X, would you be open to a quick call?”
Come equipped with backup ideas in case the first one isn’t a perfect fit.
When you lead with genuine curiosity and useful insights, price becomes just one piece of a much larger—and more compelling—picture.
📣 Craft a “Great Idea” Pitch
Instead of launching into specs, try this three-part recipe:
Spotlight the Common Challenge:
“Many of our clients tell us they struggle with X…”
Reveal Your Unique Approach:
“Here’s how we help them overcome it—quickly and risk-free.”
Anchor with a Story:
A one- or two-sentence success anecdote or data point that proves your point. ( C= Champion)
🤝 Turn Conversations into Collaborations
Remember, this isn’t a monologue. It’s a dialogue.
By simply asking “What does winning look like for you?” you’ll often find the exact places where your expertise can make a difference—before you even mention your product.
